Have you ever felt caged?

Is that what you do to me?

Consume, and hit at me?

Like a caged bird wanting to flee

You beat violently

Desperately

You always consume me

I trap you indeed

Yet I'm the one in need

Take heed of this

I beg of you please!

Let me free!

For in trying to trap you

I have locked myself in

And I can't find the key

Because I'm in the dark

Sadly, I can no longer see

Instead, all I do is sin

You're the darkness in my light.
